One of the sweetest things about the last 20 or so years has been the rapid advance of communications technology. 20 years ago, if you wanted to get in touch with someone you had two options. You could call or mail a letter.

The post about death was inspired by the loss of my grandmother. She was very supportive of my being a language junkie even as others questioned it. And she thought my little site here was beautiful. Somehow, it became hard to continue posting.
